A while back I watched a show about Spiderman that posed the question, "could we create Spiderman"? I think Stan Lee hosted the program and it was quite interesting. In the end, the answer was yes, conceivably humans could create a version of Spiderman. The human would not be able to do all of the things a spider can do, of course, but a human could do some of them.
Humans have the capability to manipulate genes (to make chickens grow a tail, for instance), but the capability to create an enhanced human is out of our hands for a long while I think. Maybe even longer because of the ethical ramifications.
However, it is not out of the hands of magic. What if the stick is responsible for 'creating' wesen and the only way it can be used is if the human is dying? Suppose the stick has the ability to look for and find ways to heal the human outside of normal human composition? In other words, any type of life or elements from the earth itself. If the stick, for example, finds a strong wolf somewhere, could it automatically take that wolf's life essence and elements and immediately transfer them into a dying human?
Could that make the stick a very dangerous weapon?
